University of Wisconsin-Platteville associate professor of trumpet and jazz studies and all-around trumpet pro, David Cooper is one of the most versatile trumpet players in the Midwest. Cooper earned his doctorate of Musical Arts in Trumpet Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has performed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Isthmus Brass and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. His own compositions include adaption of the Bach cello for trumpet and jazz transcription books. He released his new jazz CD titled The Journey earlier this year.
